A new season of Luv Ya Steel Blue is upon us and many changes to the format have taken place. I'll touch more on that later, but for the 2014 season premiere, the fifth season in the show's existence, we're going to kick things off by talking Texans draft with maybe the smartest draft guy in Houston; Jayson Braddock.

Mike opens the show with his brief thoughts on what Houston should do with this draft before giving the floor to Jayson to dive into his thoughts on what should happen at number one overall, if the pick should be traded and each and every possible quarterback prospect that could be on the Texans radar.

There is some brief talk on safeties, nose tackles and offensive lineman to finish us off before Jayson calls his shot who will be the Texans quarterback of the future.

After a brief hiatus, the terrible trio is back to discuss the Rockets continued hot play, their chances in the final seeding and what the ceiling is for this year's team. Also, the multitude of man crush labels being handed out takes center stage when discussing if James Harden is a top 5 player in the league and if he will ever have a shot at being league MVP before his career is over.

The great Melodrama takes over the end of the show as all three have varying opinions on if the team should go after Carmelo Anthony this offseason or just round out the roster and let them grow.

After a week off due to fatigue from staying up way too late during the Rockets west coast swing, the team stayed hot as they knocked off the defending world champions at home and continued their dominance of the league in the 2014 calendar year.

Mike, Armin & BD cover the tough upcoming schedule, the slow, sad decline of Jeremy Lin, the ascending of Patrick Beverley into the new Junkyard Dog and if Dwight Howard is man or machine.

The show is ended with the silly Carmelo Anthony rumors brought forth by Grantland and if it would or would not work for this version of the Rockets and if it even needs to.

On the post trade deadline special, Mike & BD are joined again by "The Doctor," Armin, as they assess the minor trade for Jordan Hamilton in return for Aaron Brooks. They also touch on the negative reaction from fans that were expecting a bigger move and if Daryl Morey has spoiled them.

Dwight's return to Los Angeles goes well and leads to a debate on if this team has finally begun to mesh seamlessly and if the chemistry with the players is genuine.

They end the show with expectations of the five game road trip and just what they will be satisfied with as a result.

After a week hiatus due to a sickness that has now evolved into bronchitis, Mike returns with BD and very special guest Ak2themax of The Dream Shake to discuss the Rockets seven game winning streak, the entitlement of Houston sports fans, the return of Omer Asik and if James Harden and Dwight Howard will do anything of note in the All Star Game.

With the trade deadline just one week away, the trio make their final prediction of what general manager Daryl Morey might have up his sleeve and if just some tweaking or a big splash are on deck.

After a week that finished better than it started, Mike and BD cover the lowest (Memphis) and Highest (Texas) locations of the week. Despite finishing on a good run, should the boys in red be concerned about how they were manhandled vs. the Grizz?

To help makes sense of that question, the newest member of The Dream Shake, Ethan Rothstein, joins the show to help break it down, as well as what Dwight has meant to this team, if James Harden is becoming a problem and to discuss just how dreamy Terrence Jones is.

After another strong week, Mike and Brandon have little to complain about this week outside of entitled Houston fans who just can't fathom how to cope with having a team in the city that isn't complete hot garbage.

To discuss the state of the team the guys bring in Houston Rockets insider Adam Wexler of CSN Houston. The three of them address the Rajon Rondo rumors at great length, why it would be good and why it might not be a good idea.

All of this plus the Omer Asik conspiracy, the backlash being aimed at James Harden and if expectations have been exceeded for Dwight Howard.

After a 3-1 week, and winning 8 of their last 11, you'd think things would be all sunshine and puppy dogs on the show this week, yet Mike and BD find ways to complain about having too much money.

The topics of if Kevin McHale is the guy to lead this team to the promised land is discussed as well as the greatness that is Terrence Jones and BD's routine rant against 'Hero Ball."

They finish up the show with thoughts on Chandler Parsons future with the team, a trade rumor, a trade proposal and a look Around the Association.

I'm Never Gonna Dance Again
After a 2-0 week in which there were many positives for the Rockets, Mike & BD still find a way to bring the show down as they light a candle and put on their favorite break up tune at the realization that neither Courtney Lee nor Paul Millsap will be Houston Rockets this year.

However, is the team finally figuring out how to win late against inferior talent? Has James Harden found his stroke? And has Donatas Motiejunas collected his last check from the Rockets? It's all discussed as well as thoughts on why the team continues to get off to slow starts, if the three point shooting will improve and the answer to just how much tail Chandler Parsons is really pulling in.

With yet another forgettable year in the books, Mike & Cleave look for help to tell us why the future is bright in the person of 'The Professor," John Harris of The Sideline View and formerly 1560am in Houston.

Together, this trio will touch on what went wrong for the 2013 Texans, what will be better under the O'Brien administration and what the team needs to do to become competitive enough for a quick turnaround in 2014.

Don't worry, there's plenty of draft talk, Manziel and Teddy. Worried or not worried and a look at some of the playoffs thus far around the league cap off another season of Luv Ya Steel Blue. you can listen below or on iTunes.
